2022 Temporary Patio/Patio Expansion Application

A Site Plan drawing of the location of the temporary patio must be attached and show:

  • Patio boundaries and dimensions
  • Patio barrier height and location
  • Construction materials and structural details for the patio, railings, platforms and ramps
  • Entrances to and from the patio and the existing building
  • Table and seating layout and any other furniture/fixtures (e.g. umbrellas)
  • Width of existing sidewalk and parking lanes
  • Transition details (e.g. variations in elevation or grade) for accessibility
  • Walkway measurements (e.g. identification of pedestrian and vehicular routes through and or around the temporary patio)
  • Boulevard trees, guards and shrubs
  • Distance to intersections
  • Parking spots impacted by patio
  • Nearby transit stops if impacted
  • Fire connections and hydrants
  • Location of services (e.g. hydro, water and gas)
  • Drainage facilities (e.g. gutters, manholes and catch basins)
  • And any other pertinent features.

Certificate of Insurance

General Liability Insurance from an insurer licensed in the Province of Ontario for $2 million to the Town of Tecumseh against any liability for property damage or personal injury, negligence including death which may arise from the applicants’ operations under this agreement. The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh must be included as an "Additional Insured".

Policy Statement

Personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Privacy Act 2001, 8.0. c.25, as amended, to provide for the regulation of temporary patio-patio extensions in the Town of Tecumseh.
